It is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration, a member of the State Blood Transfusion Council and is also a member of the Federation of Blood Bank. We aim to be able to provide the best blood transfusion practices available in the world which would ensure highest quality of services, operating efficiencies, donor satisfaction and improved patient care. The department plays a vital role in patient care and is actively associated with rational use of blood and blood components. A team of committed doctors, well trained medical staff and trained counsellors ensure good practices in all aspects of blood transfusion including donor selection procedures, donor bleeding, component preparation while performing serological procedures for blood group and screening for transfusion transmitted infections.
