The Nutrition & Dietetics department at National Medical Centre plays a key role in improving the nutritional health and well-being of patients so as to optimise their clinical management. Application of principles of nutrition for promoting good health forms the core of dietetic practice at our hospital, the service being at par with international standards.

We follow recommendations that are evidence-based and consistent with international dietetic guidelines for the assessment, management and education of inpatients and outpatients. Our dieticians work in close association with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best care for patients through nutrition intervention, counselling and education.

Nutritional counselling is provided to patients in OPD as well as IPD setting. The hospital has a well-equipped kitchen with trained personnel for preparing and serving prescribed meals to patients.
